Dave Fuka

Dave Fuka is currently a Program Management Senior Advisor with Cigna. He spent 24 years on active duty in the Coast Guard where operationally he was engaged in Maritime Law Enforcement; predominantly counter-narcotics and drug smuggling. He held numerous positions of Command and deployed multiple times in support of Operations DESERT STORM and IRAQI FREEDOM. In addition to being a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) he was also an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Management and the Leadership Development Center and served as the Assistant Director of Admissions. Dave retired from active duty in 2004 at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Dave’s transition to the civilian world has found him working predominantly as a Project Management Professional (PMP) driving quality, consistency, and productivity in both the public and private sectors. He has led international teams that have streamlined operations efficiency and maximized the effectiveness of Fortune 5 teams through continuous process improvement. In addition to his PMP Certification, Dave is a Six Sigma Black Belt and holds a B.S. in Management from USCGA as well as an M.B.A. from Florida Institute of Technology (FIT).

Dave lives on Hilton Head Island, SC with his wife Shelly and their two lab-rescue fur babies Macy & Charlie.
